First Presbyterian, which celebrated it's 140th anniversary in 2010, is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  We have offered worship and service to this community in several locations, but today we are located near the corner of Greenville Ave. and Belt Line Rd. on La Salle St.  A Historical Marker sign on Belt Line Rd and Walton .will direct you to us.  First you will see a Maupin Soccer Field, where community use of this sports in very important to us.  You may see the sign informing you of our “Clothes Closet”, a ministry of this congregation for years.  As you enter our building you will step into our “Visitation Area”, or as I like to call it, our “Hospitality Area”.  You will be welcomed by committed members who love the church and its mission.

First Presbyterian has a long history of offering the marks of an active congregation—worship, nurture, witness and service.  Step into our beautiful sanctuary and you will sense and feel the importance of this place in our life together.  Worship with us and you will hear the joy of worship, the comfort of faith, and the challenge to live and love others in the calling of our Lord Jesus Christ.
