Worship the Lord with gladness
Psalm 100:2

The Holy Spirit is very much at work as we worship God; that we show up at the sanctuary door on Sunday morning is our response to the work of the Spirit. That we sing and pray and listen to God’s Word proclaimed is our response to the work of the Spirit..

God commanded our ancestors to teach to their children, that the next generation might know...

Psalm 78:5-6

One of the many adventures available on the 5th and 6th graders’ annual retreat is boating.  It looks like so much fun—until you stand on the beach with paddle and life vest in hand.

“I’m scared!  What if the boat tips over?  The water is too cold!  I don’t think I should go”, one girl chattered.  But with some instruction in the workings of the boat, some encouragement from her friends, and her own determination, she actually got into the tippy canoe and learned to paddle around the lake.  She was so proud of herself!  Don’t each of us have experiences that are like this?
